Issue indicators

When a rule fires against a band-month, an issue gets attached. The river surfaces those issues directly on the bands so you can spot trouble without leaving the canvas.

Severity colors

Issues come in three severities:

  • Critical — red.
  • Warning — amber.
  • Info — blue.

The color appears on the flag badge on the river, on the card border in the Issues panel, and on the severity tag in the issue detail.

The Issues panel

Open the Issues panel from the right sidebar to triage issues without losing the river behind them:

Issues sidebar panel

The header shows total issue count, with severity counts as filter chips above the list. Sort and Filter live in the top-right; Mark All As Reviewed clears the unseen badge.

Each card carries the issue title, a one-line description, the anchored entity (e.g. "on order"), and a severity tag.

Reading an issue

Click any card for the full detail:

Issue detail

  • Status — Not Started, In Progress, Resolved. Dismiss is on the right-click menu, not the dropdown.
  • Assigned To — pick a teammate, or leave Unassigned.
  • Tasks — issues can carry follow-up tasks; create one from this view.
  • Apply Filters to River — pin the river to just the entities this issue covers.
  • Copy link — shareable URL that opens straight to this issue.

Opening an unseen issue marks it reviewed automatically — the unseen counter on the sidebar drops by one.

Stepping through stacked issues

When more than one issue lands on the same band-month, the river renders one badge with a +N count. Clicking the badge opens a popover with chevrons to step between the stacked issues; each step replaces the popover content but stays anchored to the same flag.

Chain highlighting in the flow diagram

When an issue's detail links to a transaction, opening the flow diagram and clicking any node lights up the entire connected chain — PO ↔ POD ↔ Bill ↔ Payment, or whatever the lineage actually is. Unrelated cards fade so the relevant path stays visually obvious. Click outside the flow to clear the highlight.
